Request for Bids — "Stenner Creek Watershed Enhancement Project"

Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District (CSLRCD) invites Bid Proposals for the Stenner Creek Watershed Enhancement Project. The project is located in San Luis Obispo County, along Cal Poly-owned and maintained rangeland roads within the Stenner Creek watershed on Serrano and Peterson ranches. Work under this solicitation consists of storm-proofing 3.82 miles of Cal Poly rangeland roads  (Exhibit A: Map 1) and upgrading 21 stream crossings as described in the Road Log of Proposed Treatments (Exhibit A: Appendix A). The proposed treatments are intended to improve road drainage, road drivability, and water quality conditions of nearby streams, as well as reduce erosion, sediment delivery, and future maintenance needs.

The RFB package may be obtained for electronic download from ASAP Reprographics or by searching Stenner Creek Watershed Enhancement Project.

Bidders must register as an Official Plan Holder at ASAP Reprographics and pay $25 (non-refundable) to download Contract Documents (including technical specifications and drawings) and be assured of receiving all addenda and plan revisions that may occur during the bidding process. Hard copies of the Contract Documents can be purchased by registered plan holders directly from ASAP Reprographics located at 365 Quintana Road, Morro Bay, CA 93442.

A mandatory pre-bid site tour will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. 

Location: Prospective bidders will meet at Cal Poly’s Beef Evaluation Center (Exhibit A, Map 1 below) at the intersection of Stenner Creek Road and Mt .Bishop Road, approximately 0.2 miles from Hwy 1. Access Stenner Creek Road from HWY 1 then turn right on Mt. Bishop Road (If you need directions on the day of the bid tour please call Hayley Barnes, 805-909-8315).

Details: The work sites will be reviewed in personal high clearance vehicles. Sites are located on narrow ranch roads, 4WD is recommended. The pre-bid tour is expected to take 3-4 hours due to the number of sites; please plan accordingly.

Request for Bids — "Cattle Exclusion Fencing and Stock Water Installation: A Water Quality Improvement Project"

We are seeking bids for our upcoming project titled "Cattle Exclusion Fencing and Stock Water Installation: A Water Quality Improvement Project." This initiative is funded by grants from the California State Water Resource Control Board Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program 319(h) and the Morro Bay National Estuary Program, sponsored by the Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District.

Project Details:

• Project Name: Cattle Exclusion Fencing and Stock Water Installation: A Water Quality Improvement Project
• Site Address: 2710 Turri Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
 

Scope of Work: The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of single strand electric livestock exclusion fencing and one off-stream stock water trough development. Detailed specifications can be found in Exhibit A, which is available for reference.

Quote Requirements:

• Quotes must be submitted on the Proposal Form (Exhibit B) attached to the Request for Bids (RFB) document.
• Contractors must possess a current California Class A or Class B contractor’s license.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and other requirements as per California Labor Code.
• Submission deadline: May 15, 2024
