Request for Bids—Removal of Sediment From Oso Flaco Creek: A Sediment Remediation Project
The project’s objective is to remove and remediate sediment from Oso Flaco Creek to reduce legacy pesticide contamination in aquatic sediments.
This project is sponsored by Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District (CSLRCD) and located on a private agricultural operation owned and managed by Teixeira Farms. The project is publically funded through grants received from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the State Water Resources Control Board (“State Water Board”) under the Federal Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program (Clean Water Act Section 319).
The RFP package may be obtained for electronic download from the ASAP Reprographics Planroom for Public Jobs, using the search term "Removal of Sediment from Oso Flaco Creek."
Bidders must register as an Official Plan Holder at ASAP Reprographics and pay $25 (non-refundable) to download Contract Documents (including technical specifications and drawings) and be assured of receiving all addenda and plan revisions that may occur during the bidding process. Hard copies of the Contract Documents can be purchased by registered plan holders directly from ASAP Reprographics, located at 365 Quintana Road, Morro Bay, CA 93442.
A mandatory pre-bid site tour will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the project site located in the agricultural staging area adjacent to Oso Flaco Lake road, approximately 1.2 miles from the Hwy 1/Oso Flaco Lake Road intersection. Contractors planning to submit a bid must attend the site tour.
