Sarah attended the University of California Davis where she earned a B.S in Environmental Science and Management, with a concentration in Natural Resource Management and a minor in GIS. In Davis she interned for the UC Davis Arboretum in the Native Pollinator Garden, where she became familiar with identifying and caring for California native plant species. Before joining CSLRCD, she has been working for California State Parks, working in both wildlife conservation and habitat restoration of the Oceano Dunes SVRA. Sarah was raised in Santa Maria, California, and has enjoyed working on the central coast where she grew up. 

On her off time, she enjoys baking, playing pickleball, and spending time with family.
