Hallie Richard

Hallie stepped into the Executive Director role in April 2025 after eight years as a Project Manager and Program Manager for the District. Through the years, Hallie has been involved at almost every level of the District, from irrigation evaluations to grant writing to wetland restoration, and has had the opportunity to work on dozens of challenging, rewarding, innovative and important projects with inspiring staff, partners, and stakeholders. Her background weaves agriculture and conservation, and includes the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Peace Corps Panama, and years as a viticulture tech, both locally and abroad. Hallie earned a BA in Environmental Studies from SFSU in 2009.
Hallie enjoys traveling the world, cooking with her husband, baseball (go Giants!) and exploring the Central Coast with her two dogs.
