Cameras Observe Wildlife at Los Osos Wetland Property

Los Osos Wetland December 12, 2022.

Following substantial rain across San Luis Obispo County in November and December 2022, the Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District's Los Osos Wetland property became saturated with water. During this time, abundant wildlife reaped benefits from the wetland habitat, captured by CSLRCD's wildlife cameras in November and December (see below).

In addition to tracking animal patterns, RCD staff also use the cameras to observe water heights at the wetland.

The image shows a wild boar drinking from wetland waters, with a mountain lion or cougar also visiting the site on separate occasions.
