In 2021, Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District (CSLRCD) received funding from the Bureau of Reclamation’s WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program to increase coordination and engage a wide demographic of water users in the Arroyo Grande watershed.

The objective of the planning effort is to increase the sustainability and equity of water resources in the watershed through increased water quality monitoring, expanding the existing MOU group, developing outreach materials, and updating the existing Watershed Management Plan.

In 2022, CSLRCD and project partner Creek Lands Conservation began the initial planning steps and will continue in 2023 to facilitate expanded AG Creek MOU group meeting and updating the 2004 Watershed Management Plan.
