Technical Assistance
The CSLRCD provides technical assistance to landowners, farmers, ranchers and other land managers in the District, working in close partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and following their established design criteria. We provide planning and design services for a range of resource protection and conservation practices for agriculturalists and landowners, including:
- erosion control
- water quality protection
- habitat enhancement, flood management
- irrigation efficiency
- nutrient management.

Mobile Irrigation Lab
Provides on-site distribution uniformity evaluations of individual irrigation systems.
MoreIrrigation Water Conveyance
Provides fixed lining of impervious material in an irrigation field ditch, canal or lateral.
MoreGrade Stabilization
Varying methods utilized to arrest and stabilize gully erosion at sites with relatively stable banks.
MoreSedimentation Basins
Detain water and retain sediment and debris that is associated with runoff.
MoreLivestock Watering Systems
Provides adequate amount and quality of drinking water to livestock.
MoreStreambank Protection
Prevents the loss of land or facilities adjacent to banks and reduces the offsite impacts of sediment.
MoreUnderground Outlets
Conveys runoff water from steep slopes on developed parcels, reducing soil erosion problems.
MoreStructure for Water Control
Conveys water, control direction or rate of flow or maintains a desired water surface elevation in irrigation, drainage or other water management systems.
MoreCover Crop
Controls erosion during periods when major crops do not furnish adequate cover; adds organic matter to the soil and improves infiltration, aeration and tilth.
