Request for Bids—Camp San Luis Obispo Drainage Improvement: A Water Quality Improvement Project

The project’s objective is to improve water quality in the Morro Bay watershed by installing bioswales on Camp San Luis Obispo to increase water infiltration and reduce sedimentation in downstream waterways.

This project is sponsored by the Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District (CSLRCD) on Camp San Luis Obispo (Camp SLO), a State of California Military Installation. The project is grant funded with funds received from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the State Water Resources Control Board (“State Water Board”) under the Federal Nonpoint Source Pollution Control Program (Clean Water Act Section 319) and assistance agreement number 98T47301 to The Bay Foundation of Morro Bay. Additional public funds contributing to the project include the Morro Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP), Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB), and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS).

Bidders must register as an Official Plan Holder at ASAP Reprographics and pay $25 (non-refundable) to download Contract Documents (including technical specifications and drawings) and be assured of receiving all addenda and plan revisions that may occur during the bidding process. Hard copies of the Contract Documents can be purchased by registered plan holders directly from ASAP Reprographics located at 365 Quintana Road, Morro Bay, CA 93442.

A mandatory pre-bid site tour will be held Thursday, May 4, at 9:30 a.m. at Camp SLO.  Contractors planning to submit a bid must attend the site tour.
